Companies behind on their accounts
Every UK company has to file annual accounts by a date the register records. These are the companies still trading whose date has passed and whose accounts Companies House does not show as filed.
Being late is common and is not, on its own, evidence of anything — small companies miss the date for ordinary reasons, and the register can lag a filing by a few days. It is a thing worth knowing before you extend credit, not a verdict.
75,834 companies, from the register read 04/09/2026.

Longest overdue

Where this comes from
The Companies House company data snapshot, which the register publishes monthly and which records, for every company, the date its next accounts are due and the date its last accounts were made up to. We compare the first against today and exclude companies that have been dissolved. Nothing here is inferred; each company page shows the same dates, and the register itself is the place to check them.
