UK trade marks
Every Friday the Intellectual Property Office advertises the marks it has accepted that week. Search that journal by the wording of a mark — to see who is filing something close to your brand — or by the applicant, to see what a company has applied for.
An applicant is matched exactly, on the registered name. Mark wording is matched anywhere in the text.
What this covers, and what it does not
This is the journal, not the register. The IPO publishes the weekly journal as an XML file and publishes no bulk export of the full register; the bulk APIs it has promised as part of One IPO are not available yet. So what you see here is everything advertised since we began reading, growing by a few thousand marks a week — accurate for what it holds, and openly incomplete before that date.
An advertised mark is not yet a registered one: it has been accepted and is open to opposition. Check the IPO's own record before acting on anything here.
