MINERA WOMEN'S INSTITUTE

This charity is no longer on the register, removed on 2 July 2009. A removal is usually a charity that wound up, merged, or fell below the income threshold, and is not in itself a finding against anyone — but an appeal still quoting this number today is quoting a charity the Commission no longer registers.

What it does

The W.I. is interested in Arts, Crafts, and Sciences, to improve and develop conditions of rural life. Also Music, drama, and other cultural subjects, giving Women the opportunity of working together through the W.I.'s organisation, and of putting into practice those ideals for which it stands.

In the charity's own words, as filed with the Commission.

About this record

From the Charity Commission's register of England and Wales, republished nightly under the Open Government Licence. The Commission does not regulate Scotland or Northern Ireland, which keep their own registers. Figures are as the charity last filed them, not as audited by us — browse the whole register, including the charities removed from it.
