What it does
To advance the musical education of young persons under the age of 25 who are ordinarily resident or who receive their education within the county of Cumbria by the provision of training in orchestral playing and the presentation of public concerts. Two orchestras, the Cumbria Youth Orchestra and the Cumbria Youth Training Orchestra, each give two public concerts per year.
