BASIC TEACHING STANDARDS
This charity is no longer on the register, removed on 16 September 2009. A removal is usually a charity that wound up, merged, or fell below the income threshold, and is not in itself a finding against anyone — but an appeal still quoting this number today is quoting a charity the Commission no longer registers.

What it does
The object of the charity is to enquire about the standards of teaching received by children in secondary schools on behalf of parents who have doubts about the quality of this teaching. Should the doubts be substantiated steps will be taken to ensure improvements in the teaching, or even compensation.
In the charity's own words, as filed with the Commission.
About this record
From the Charity Commission's register of England and Wales, republished nightly under the Open Government Licence. The Commission does not regulate Scotland or Northern Ireland, which keep their own registers. Figures are as the charity last filed them, not as audited by us — browse the whole register, including the charities removed from it.
