WHARFE VALLEY COMMUNITY PROJECT
This charity is no longer on the register, removed on 30 October 2012. A removal is usually a charity that wound up, merged, or fell below the income threshold, and is not in itself a finding against anyone — but an appeal still quoting this number today is quoting a charity the Commission no longer registers.

What it does
The aims of the project are to relieve the loneliness and isolation of elderly people. Many have lost self esteem and confidence and feel isolated from the community. Some have early stage dementia and many are suffering from depression. Elderly people come to classes run by volunteers who have a skill to share. Regular classes include art, craft, dressmaking, cookery and chair exercises.
In the charity's own words, as filed with the Commission.
About this record
From the Charity Commission's register of England and Wales, republished nightly under the Open Government Licence. The Commission does not regulate Scotland or Northern Ireland, which keep their own registers. Figures are as the charity last filed them, not as audited by us — browse the whole register, including the charities removed from it.
