FRIENDS OF KING ALFRED BUSES
This charity is no longer on the register, removed on 22 March 2019. A removal is usually a charity that wound up, merged, or fell below the income threshold, and is not in itself a finding against anyone — but an appeal still quoting this number today is quoting a charity the Commission no longer registers.

What it does
The Friends of King Alfred Buses (FoKAB) preserves and maintains a unique collection of 12 buses and 3 coaches once operated by the former King Alfred Motor Services Ltd, Winchester, between 1920 and 1973, plus 3 other vehicles. By encouraging the public to experience free travel on historic preserved buses the group endeavours to cultivate a wider appreciation of public transport.

About this record
From the Charity Commission's register of England and Wales, republished nightly under the Open Government Licence. The Commission does not regulate Scotland or Northern Ireland, which keep their own registers. Figures are as the charity last filed them, not as audited by us — browse the whole register, including the charities removed from it.
