WEST CUMBRIA CARERS
This charity is no longer on the register, removed on 5 December 2007. A removal is usually a charity that wound up, merged, or fell below the income threshold, and is not in itself a finding against anyone — but an appeal still quoting this number today is quoting a charity the Commission no longer registers.

What it does
West Cumbria Carers provides support to carers who look after a family member, friend or neighbour who could not manage without their help. This could be due to age, physical or mental illness, disability or addiction. Support is given through information and advice on a one to one and group basis. Practical support is also given together with social events to offer a break from the caring role.
In the charity's own words, as filed with the Commission.
About this record
From the Charity Commission's register of England and Wales, republished nightly under the Open Government Licence. The Commission does not regulate Scotland or Northern Ireland, which keep their own registers. Figures are as the charity last filed them, not as audited by us — browse the whole register, including the charities removed from it.
