HOME START KERNOW

This charity is no longer on the register, removed on 9 March 2016. A removal is usually a charity that wound up, merged, or fell below the income threshold, and is not in itself a finding against anyone — but an appeal still quoting this number today is quoting a charity the Commission no longer registers.

What it does

Home-Start offers free support, friendship and practical help to families with at least one child under five who may be undergoing pressures such as loneliness and isolation, depression or several pre-school children without the support of family and friends. Families are visited regularly in their own homes by volunteers who all have experience of parenting and know how hard things can be.

In the charity's own words, as filed with the Commission.

About this record

From the Charity Commission's register of England and Wales, republished nightly under the Open Government Licence. The Commission does not regulate Scotland or Northern Ireland, which keep their own registers. Figures are as the charity last filed them, not as audited by us — browse the whole register, including the charities removed from it.
