THE FRIENDS OF PLATT FIELDS
This charity is no longer on the register, removed on 6 November 2024. A removal is usually a charity that wound up, merged, or fell below the income threshold, and is not in itself a finding against anyone — but an appeal still quoting this number today is quoting a charity the Commission no longer registers.

What it does
The Friends of Platt Fields exists to promote Platt Fields Park. We work to encourage imaginative events and improvements to the physical environment, so that the park is better used and enjoyed by local people. Platt Fields Park won the prestigious Green Flag Award for the first time, in 2005 - 2011. The park celebrated its centenary in 2010 with many events and a publication.
In the charity's own words, as filed with the Commission.
About this record
From the Charity Commission's register of England and Wales, republished nightly under the Open Government Licence. The Commission does not regulate Scotland or Northern Ireland, which keep their own registers. Figures are as the charity last filed them, not as audited by us — browse the whole register, including the charities removed from it.
