THE TANWORTH STARFISH FUND
This charity is no longer on the register, removed on 24 June 2020. A removal is usually a charity that wound up, merged, or fell below the income threshold, and is not in itself a finding against anyone — but an appeal still quoting this number today is quoting a charity the Commission no longer registers.

What it does
The Fund was set up to help victims of the AIDS crisis in Zambia. Funds have been used for the construction of schools and churches and for a clinic and nurse's house in a rural area. The charity runs orphan sponsorship programmes and supports families who care for orphans. Support is given to individuals in need, to help children attend school and to improve prioners' conditions in Kabwe.
In the charity's own words, as filed with the Commission.
About this record
From the Charity Commission's register of England and Wales, republished nightly under the Open Government Licence. The Commission does not regulate Scotland or Northern Ireland, which keep their own registers. Figures are as the charity last filed them, not as audited by us — browse the whole register, including the charities removed from it.
