THE VISUALLY IMPAIRED PERSONS' CLUB

This charity is no longer on the register, removed on 25 April 2014. A removal is usually a charity that wound up, merged, or fell below the income threshold, and is not in itself a finding against anyone — but an appeal still quoting this number today is quoting a charity the Commission no longer registers.

What it does

In 2005 the VIP Club was started twice monthly for visually impaired people to meet socially and be entertained. We provide various activities e.g. exercises, talks with slides, musical afternoons, quizzes & games followed by refreshments. Transport is provided to and from the meetings. This transport is also used for outings and for eating out.

In the charity's own words, as filed with the Commission.

About this record

From the Charity Commission's register of England and Wales, republished nightly under the Open Government Licence. The Commission does not regulate Scotland or Northern Ireland, which keep their own registers. Figures are as the charity last filed them, not as audited by us — browse the whole register, including the charities removed from it.
