THE FRIENDS OF THE ROYAL HOSPITAL CHELSEA (HOME OF THE CHELSEA PENSIONERS)
This charity is no longer on the register, removed on 22 July 2015. A removal is usually a charity that wound up, merged, or fell below the income threshold, and is not in itself a finding against anyone — but an appeal still quoting this number today is quoting a charity the Commission no longer registers.

What it does
'The Friends' principal activity is as an ambassador for The Royal Hospital Chelsea. This is realised by joining the community social life and experiencing the wonderful legacy left by King Charles II & Christopher Wren to the nation and her old soldiers encouraging the raising of new funds to develop this home and continue to offer the nation's army pensioners a quality home with quality care
In the charity's own words, as filed with the Commission.
About this record
From the Charity Commission's register of England and Wales, republished nightly under the Open Government Licence. The Commission does not regulate Scotland or Northern Ireland, which keep their own registers. Figures are as the charity last filed them, not as audited by us — browse the whole register, including the charities removed from it.
