HEALTH AND EDUCATION FOR SOUTHERN AFRICA (HESA)

This charity is no longer on the register, removed on 27 September 2011. A removal is usually a charity that wound up, merged, or fell below the income threshold, and is not in itself a finding against anyone — but an appeal still quoting this number today is quoting a charity the Commission no longer registers.

What it does

In resuming operations after a period of inactivity due to manpower shortages, HESA's focus for 2009-2010 is to:1. Recruit New Trustees2. Raise funds and resources to support the Children's program in Bulawayo, Zimbabwe.3. Identify and support one rural self-help project in Matebeleland, Zimbabwe.4. Set up a videoconferencing link to South Africa to deliver tele-education.

In the charity's own words, as filed with the Commission.

About this record

From the Charity Commission's register of England and Wales, republished nightly under the Open Government Licence. The Commission does not regulate Scotland or Northern Ireland, which keep their own registers. Figures are as the charity last filed them, not as audited by us — browse the whole register, including the charities removed from it.
