What it does
Independent Opera (IO) contributes to a thriving opera industry by locating, nurturing and developing the next generation of opera artists in the UK. It awards scholarships, fellowships and small grants, and provides mentoring to support their professional development. IO provides performance opportunities to early career opera artists; commissions and produces new work, concerts and rare operas.
