BETTER URBANISM FOR BRISTOL
This charity is no longer on the register, removed on 30 April 2026. A removal is usually a charity that wound up, merged, or fell below the income threshold, and is not in itself a finding against anyone — but an appeal still quoting this number today is quoting a charity the Commission no longer registers.

What it does
There is enormous pressure to turn Bristol into a high rise city. This is already proving highly damaging to a traditionally mid-rise and historic city. We take on the responsibility to explain, to a public which is not very familiar with urbanism and planning, why it is important to restrain the developers, and to choose beauty over ugliness, sustainable development over short-term profit.
In the charity's own words, as filed with the Commission.
About this record
From the Charity Commission's register of England and Wales, republished nightly under the Open Government Licence. The Commission does not regulate Scotland or Northern Ireland, which keep their own registers. Figures are as the charity last filed them, not as audited by us — browse the whole register, including the charities removed from it.
