THE NATIONAL POLICE FUND
This charity is no longer on the register, removed on 26 February 2018. A removal is usually a charity that wound up, merged, or fell below the income threshold, and is not in itself a finding against anyone — but an appeal still quoting this number today is quoting a charity the Commission no longer registers.

What it does
The objects of the charity are the general welfare and benefit of members of the police forces of Great Britain by the provision of recreational and other facilities calculated to promote their efficiency, for educational and compassionate grants for police officers and their dependants, and for the support of charities for the benefit of such persons being necessitous.
In the charity's own words, as filed with the Commission.

About this record
From the Charity Commission's register of England and Wales, republished nightly under the Open Government Licence. The Commission does not regulate Scotland or Northern Ireland, which keep their own registers. Figures are as the charity last filed them, not as audited by us — browse the whole register, including the charities removed from it.
