What it does
The fund provides one-off grants of up to -ú250 to people living in the old borough of Birkenhead on a low income and with a long-term sickness. The grants must be used to purchase essential items. Clients must be referred by a third party such as a health visitor, social worker, advocate etc. and must provide evidence of their sickness and attend an interview with the fund administrator.
In the charity's own words, as filed with the Commission.
Linked charities
Separate trusts that report through this charity and share its number. An old endowment often has several.
About this record
From the Charity Commission's register of England and Wales, republished nightly under the Open Government Licence. The Commission does not regulate Scotland or Northern Ireland, which keep their own registers. Figures are as the charity last filed them, not as audited by us — browse the whole register, including the charities removed from it.
