LADY GOULD'S CHARITY

This charity is no longer on the register, removed on 13 August 2018. A removal is usually a charity that wound up, merged, or fell below the income threshold, and is not in itself a finding against anyone — but an appeal still quoting this number today is quoting a charity the Commission no longer registers.

What it does

The 1691 Trust deed requires the Trustees to distribute the rents from the Trust's properties '.. among the poor residents of the town and village of Highgate..'. The Trustees have drawn a boundary on a map describing a wide circle around Highgate Village and applicants must be resident within that boundary. Successful applicants are typically in receipt of housing benefit or income support.

In the charity's own words, as filed with the Commission.

About this record

From the Charity Commission's register of England and Wales, republished nightly under the Open Government Licence. The Commission does not regulate Scotland or Northern Ireland, which keep their own registers. Figures are as the charity last filed them, not as audited by us — browse the whole register, including the charities removed from it.
