FAMILIES OF OFFICERS RELIEF FUND
This charity is no longer on the register, removed on 15 April 2020. A removal is usually a charity that wound up, merged, or fell below the income threshold, and is not in itself a finding against anyone — but an appeal still quoting this number today is quoting a charity the Commission no longer registers.

What it does
The objects of the charity are for the relief in cases of need of widows/orphans of officers, formerly resident in the Diocese of Ripon & Leeds, who died in the First and Second World Wars. If the income in any one year is not needed for this purpose the trustees may apply it in cases of need of widows/unmarried daughters and infants sons of deceased officers formerly resident in the diocese.
In the charity's own words, as filed with the Commission.
About this record
From the Charity Commission's register of England and Wales, republished nightly under the Open Government Licence. The Commission does not regulate Scotland or Northern Ireland, which keep their own registers. Figures are as the charity last filed them, not as audited by us — browse the whole register, including the charities removed from it.
