EDMUND WALLER
This charity is no longer on the register, removed on 17 June 2015. A removal is usually a charity that wound up, merged, or fell below the income threshold, and is not in itself a finding against anyone — but an appeal still quoting this number today is quoting a charity the Commission no longer registers.

What it does
The Charity of Edmund Waller allocates small sums of money annually to people living in the town of Beaconsfield, people who are in need or who, having been ill, would benefit from some extra comforts. Beneficiaries are identified from the Trustees' own knowledge and from recommendations by local clergy and welfare organisations.
In the charity's own words, as filed with the Commission.

About this record
From the Charity Commission's register of England and Wales, republished nightly under the Open Government Licence. The Commission does not regulate Scotland or Northern Ireland, which keep their own registers. Figures are as the charity last filed them, not as audited by us — browse the whole register, including the charities removed from it.
