THE RAILWAY MISSION
This charity is no longer on the register, removed on 18 August 2010. A removal is usually a charity that wound up, merged, or fell below the income threshold, and is not in itself a finding against anyone — but an appeal still quoting this number today is quoting a charity the Commission no longer registers.

What it does
To minister to the needs of railway people and their familes both morally and spiritually, by promoting Biblical Christianity through a network of chaplains. To visit railway people at home, hospital, and in their place of work, to support them when going through personal crisis, breavement and work relaated stress.
In the charity's own words, as filed with the Commission.
About this record
From the Charity Commission's register of England and Wales, republished nightly under the Open Government Licence. The Commission does not regulate Scotland or Northern Ireland, which keep their own registers. Figures are as the charity last filed them, not as audited by us — browse the whole register, including the charities removed from it.
