CAMPAIGN TO PROTECT RURAL ENGLAND (LEICESTERSHIRE BRANCH)
This charity is no longer on the register, removed on 23 June 2016. A removal is usually a charity that wound up, merged, or fell below the income threshold, and is not in itself a finding against anyone — but an appeal still quoting this number today is quoting a charity the Commission no longer registers.

What it does
Campaign to protect the Leicestershire countryside and environment, particularly where these are threatened by planning applications. We try to encourage affordable and smaller housing schemes, to limit their impact on the countryside and to provide housing for local people. We also campaign for projects like local foods, renewable energy and limiting light pollution.
In the charity's own words, as filed with the Commission.
About this record
From the Charity Commission's register of England and Wales, republished nightly under the Open Government Licence. The Commission does not regulate Scotland or Northern Ireland, which keep their own registers. Figures are as the charity last filed them, not as audited by us — browse the whole register, including the charities removed from it.
