MEVAGISSEY AND DISTRICT MUSEUM SOCIETY
This charity is no longer on the register, removed on 11 April 2025. A removal is usually a charity that wound up, merged, or fell below the income threshold, and is not in itself a finding against anyone — but an appeal still quoting this number today is quoting a charity the Commission no longer registers.

What it does
The museum has a collection of exhibits and photographs depicting life in a fishing village from the 1800s. It is set in part of a boat building yard dating back to 1745. A DVD giving local residents' reminiscences of life during WW2 can be viewed during opening hours and there are translations available in several languages to help overseas visitors with their understanding of the museum.
In the charity's own words, as filed with the Commission.
About this record
From the Charity Commission's register of England and Wales, republished nightly under the Open Government Licence. The Commission does not regulate Scotland or Northern Ireland, which keep their own registers. Figures are as the charity last filed them, not as audited by us — browse the whole register, including the charities removed from it.
