THE ATHEROSCLEROSIS RESEARCH TRUST
This charity is no longer on the register, removed on 14 May 2009. A removal is usually a charity that wound up, merged, or fell below the income threshold, and is not in itself a finding against anyone — but an appeal still quoting this number today is quoting a charity the Commission no longer registers.

What it does
The Charity's Grant for research by the Wynn Department of Metabolic Cardiology with the Baker Heart Research Institute Melbourne terminated on 2 June 2007. On 5 December 2006 it was resolved that once this had occurred the Charity should merge with its associated charity the Heart Disease and Diabetes Research Trust.
In the charity's own words, as filed with the Commission.
About this record
From the Charity Commission's register of England and Wales, republished nightly under the Open Government Licence. The Commission does not regulate Scotland or Northern Ireland, which keep their own registers.
