THOMAS GIFFORD'S CHARITY
This charity is no longer on the register, removed on 11 January 2016. A removal is usually a charity that wound up, merged, or fell below the income threshold, and is not in itself a finding against anyone — but an appeal still quoting this number today is quoting a charity the Commission no longer registers.

What it does
The charity's first objective is to maintain and make available to the people of Charlbury the Playing Close for recreational use, which includes a Farmers Markets each quarter. The second objective is to manage the other assets of the Charity in order to generate income for the maintenance of the Playing Close and, subject to that, for the benefit of the inhabitants of Charlbury.
In the charity's own words, as filed with the Commission.
About this record
From the Charity Commission's register of England and Wales, republished nightly under the Open Government Licence. The Commission does not regulate Scotland or Northern Ireland, which keep their own registers. Figures are as the charity last filed them, not as audited by us — browse the whole register, including the charities removed from it.
