CHIPPING BARNET AND DISTRICT ASSOCIATION FOR THE WELFARE OF THE HANDICAPPED

This charity is no longer on the register, removed on 15 June 2011. A removal is usually a charity that wound up, merged, or fell below the income threshold, and is not in itself a finding against anyone — but an appeal still quoting this number today is quoting a charity the Commission no longer registers.

What it does

We begin our year trying to arrange 2 or 3 holidays for disabled persons at venues under vitalise. Donations are made to a riding school for disabled young persons and to other similar organisations. We maintain those who have wheel/power chairs etc. To provide Christmas cheer and financial gifts. In essence whatever we can within our remit.

In the charity's own words, as filed with the Commission.

About this record

From the Charity Commission's register of England and Wales, republished nightly under the Open Government Licence. The Commission does not regulate Scotland or Northern Ireland, which keep their own registers. Figures are as the charity last filed them, not as audited by us — browse the whole register, including the charities removed from it.
