THE ROYAL NAVAL MUSEUM PORTSMOUTH
This charity is no longer on the register, removed on 17 February 2010. A removal is usually a charity that wound up, merged, or fell below the income threshold, and is not in itself a finding against anyone — but an appeal still quoting this number today is quoting a charity the Commission no longer registers.

What it does
To make accessible to all the story of the Royal Navy and its people from earliest times to the present by collecting, preserving and interpreting artefacts, photographs, documents, manuscripts and oral history testimony through permanent and temporary exhibitions in the Museum's galleries, through web resources, through lectures and learning activities and through an information service.
In the charity's own words, as filed with the Commission.
Linked charities
Separate trusts that report through this charity and share its number. An old endowment often has several.
About this record
From the Charity Commission's register of England and Wales, republished nightly under the Open Government Licence. The Commission does not regulate Scotland or Northern Ireland, which keep their own registers. Figures are as the charity last filed them, not as audited by us — browse the whole register, including the charities removed from it.
