FRIENDS OF HEALEY HOUSE

This charity is no longer on the register, removed on 20 June 2014. A removal is usually a charity that wound up, merged, or fell below the income threshold, and is not in itself a finding against anyone — but an appeal still quoting this number today is quoting a charity the Commission no longer registers.

What it does

The sole activity of The Friends of Healey House is the welfare of the residents of the house, a residential home for the blind and visually impaired. Friends raise money for additional amenities over and above those provided by Hastings and Rother Voluntary Association for the Blind, the owners and administrators of the home.

In the charity's own words, as filed with the Commission.

About this record

From the Charity Commission's register of England and Wales, republished nightly under the Open Government Licence. The Commission does not regulate Scotland or Northern Ireland, which keep their own registers. Figures are as the charity last filed them, not as audited by us — browse the whole register, including the charities removed from it.
