FRIENDS OF COUNTESS MOUNTBATTEN HOUSE
This charity is no longer on the register, removed on 15 February 2013. A removal is usually a charity that wound up, merged, or fell below the income threshold, and is not in itself a finding against anyone — but an appeal still quoting this number today is quoting a charity the Commission no longer registers.

What it does
To relieve patients and otherwise support the work of Countess Mountbatten House, offering palliative care, pain relief and support for the terminally ill. Countess Mountbatten Hospice Charity Limited (CMHC-No.1123304) was incorporated in 2008 to replace the Friends charity. All the assets and liabilities of Friends transferred to CMHC on 1 April 2008 with permission from the Charity Commission.
In the charity's own words, as filed with the Commission.
About this record
From the Charity Commission's register of England and Wales, republished nightly under the Open Government Licence. The Commission does not regulate Scotland or Northern Ireland, which keep their own registers. Figures are as the charity last filed them, not as audited by us — browse the whole register, including the charities removed from it.
