CLAY COTON CHURCH MAINTENANCE FUND

This charity is no longer on the register, removed on 24 November 2015. A removal is usually a charity that wound up, merged, or fell below the income threshold, and is not in itself a finding against anyone — but an appeal still quoting this number today is quoting a charity the Commission no longer registers.

What it does

The church is now in private ownership and has been converted to a high grade dwelling. It's maintenance is assured so the charity is approaching termination.Approval has been received from the Charity Commission to spend the remaining funds on a plaque commemorating the trustees who fought to save the building through difficult times. The nature and location for the plaque are being decided.

In the charity's own words, as filed with the Commission.

About this record

From the Charity Commission's register of England and Wales, republished nightly under the Open Government Licence. The Commission does not regulate Scotland or Northern Ireland, which keep their own registers. Figures are as the charity last filed them, not as audited by us — browse the whole register, including the charities removed from it.
