THE SOCIETY OF JEWELLERY HISTORIANS

This charity is no longer on the register, removed on 11 November 2015. A removal is usually a charity that wound up, merged, or fell below the income threshold, and is not in itself a finding against anyone — but an appeal still quoting this number today is quoting a charity the Commission no longer registers.

What it does

The Society of Jewellery Historians was formed in 1977 with the aim of stimulating the growing international interest in jewellery of all ages and cultures by publishing new research and bringing together those seriously interested in the subject, whether in a professional or private capacity.

In the charity's own words, as filed with the Commission.

About this record

From the Charity Commission's register of England and Wales, republished nightly under the Open Government Licence. The Commission does not regulate Scotland or Northern Ireland, which keep their own registers. Figures are as the charity last filed them, not as audited by us — browse the whole register, including the charities removed from it.
