FRIENDS OF DORSET COUNTY HOSPITAL

This charity is no longer on the register, removed on 5 September 2013. A removal is usually a charity that wound up, merged, or fell below the income threshold, and is not in itself a finding against anyone — but an appeal still quoting this number today is quoting a charity the Commission no longer registers.

What it does

The charity's objects of educating the public in the needs of patients, supplementing the provision of facilities, buildings and equipment for the treatment of patients and provide amenities for patients and staff are achieved through the provision of a shop, cafe and trolley service and by raising money for hospital equipment, furniture, TV and audio equipment and other charitable gifts.

In the charity's own words, as filed with the Commission.

About this record

From the Charity Commission's register of England and Wales, republished nightly under the Open Government Licence. The Commission does not regulate Scotland or Northern Ireland, which keep their own registers. Figures are as the charity last filed them, not as audited by us — browse the whole register, including the charities removed from it.
