THE SOUTH WESTERN REGIONAL LIBRARY SERVICE

This charity is no longer on the register, removed on 2 November 2018. A removal is usually a charity that wound up, merged, or fell below the income threshold, and is not in itself a finding against anyone — but an appeal still quoting this number today is quoting a charity the Commission no longer registers.

What it does

The South Western Regional Library System (SWRLS) exists to promote co-operation between libraries in the South West of England and the Channel Islands. It's main work has been facilitating the inter-lending of books and other materials between library services in the region as well as acting as agent of co-operation between libraries on any issue of common concern.

In the charity's own words, as filed with the Commission.

About this record

From the Charity Commission's register of England and Wales, republished nightly under the Open Government Licence. The Commission does not regulate Scotland or Northern Ireland, which keep their own registers. Figures are as the charity last filed them, not as audited by us — browse the whole register, including the charities removed from it.
