THE AMERSHAM AND CHESHAM HARD OF HEARING CLUB

This charity is no longer on the register, removed on 9 December 2013. A removal is usually a charity that wound up, merged, or fell below the income threshold, and is not in itself a finding against anyone — but an appeal still quoting this number today is quoting a charity the Commission no longer registers.

What it does

We aim to offer friendship, support, information and stimulation to offset the sense of isolation and loneliness often caused by hearing impairment - through monthly meetings and local outings. It is run on a voluntary basis but with all members encouraged to help when they can.

In the charity's own words, as filed with the Commission.

About this record

From the Charity Commission's register of England and Wales, republished nightly under the Open Government Licence. The Commission does not regulate Scotland or Northern Ireland, which keep their own registers. Figures are as the charity last filed them, not as audited by us — browse the whole register, including the charities removed from it.
