THE 100TH BOMB GROUP MEMORIAL MUSEUM

This charity is no longer on the register, removed on 26 August 2022. A removal is usually a charity that wound up, merged, or fell below the income threshold, and is not in itself a finding against anyone — but an appeal still quoting this number today is quoting a charity the Commission no longer registers.

What it does

To advance the education of the public by the operation of a museum for the exhibition and preservation of aircraft and aeronautical equipment of historical and technical interest particularly from the second world war. The museum is on the wartime airfield of Thorpe Abbotts and commemorates the 100th bomb group of the U.S.A.A.F that flew from there.

In the charity's own words, as filed with the Commission.

About this record

The Commission does not regulate Scotland or Northern Ireland, which keep their own registers.
