THE PHOENIX BEQUEST FOR DISABLED MUSICIANS

This charity is no longer on the register, removed on 28 August 2009. A removal is usually a charity that wound up, merged, or fell below the income threshold, and is not in itself a finding against anyone — but an appeal still quoting this number today is quoting a charity the Commission no longer registers.

What it does

The charity was founded to offer assistance to disabled musicians. As the capital sum is limited and there have been no significant donations apart from that under the terms of the founder's will, the charity has remained dormant. We are currently in discussions with the Musician's Benevolent Fund to see if we can agree to their incorporating the Phoenix Bequest within their own charity.

In the charity's own words, as filed with the Commission.

About this record

From the Charity Commission's register of England and Wales, republished nightly under the Open Government Licence. The Commission does not regulate Scotland or Northern Ireland, which keep their own registers.
