What it does
To encourage local people to take a practical interest in the townscapes and surrounding environment in our two towns, the preservation of historic buildings, improving amenities, and encouraging good design in new developments by monitoring and commenting on planning applications. Public meetings are organised by the society on matters concerning the local environment.
