HOME-START CHELMSFORD

This charity is no longer on the register, removed on 30 October 2009. A removal is usually a charity that wound up, merged, or fell below the income threshold, and is not in itself a finding against anyone — but an appeal still quoting this number today is quoting a charity the Commission no longer registers.

What it does

Home-Start Chelmsford recruits and trains volunteers to offer friendship, support and practical help to parents experiencing difficulties, in their own homes. The families must have at least one child under the age of five. Volunteers are managed by the scheme which in turn is supported by Home-Start UK.

In the charity's own words, as filed with the Commission.

About this record

From the Charity Commission's register of England and Wales, republished nightly under the Open Government Licence. The Commission does not regulate Scotland or Northern Ireland, which keep their own registers. Figures are as the charity last filed them, not as audited by us — browse the whole register, including the charities removed from it.
