DAVENTRY AND DISTRICT V I P VISUALLY IMPAIRED PEOPLE CLUB

This charity is no longer on the register, removed on 18 July 2016. A removal is usually a charity that wound up, merged, or fell below the income threshold, and is not in itself a finding against anyone — but an appeal still quoting this number today is quoting a charity the Commission no longer registers.

What it does

The club is a self help group whose aim is to improve the quality of life for the visually impaired in the Daventry area. We record the local newspaper onto cassette and also record a monthly general interest tape. We meet on the first Tuesday evening in the month and also have outings and theatre trips. We operate a door to door service.

In the charity's own words, as filed with the Commission.

About this record

From the Charity Commission's register of England and Wales, republished nightly under the Open Government Licence. The Commission does not regulate Scotland or Northern Ireland, which keep their own registers. Figures are as the charity last filed them, not as audited by us — browse the whole register, including the charities removed from it.
