ACTION FOR DYSPHASIC ADULTS

This charity is no longer on the register, removed on 22 July 2015. A removal is usually a charity that wound up, merged, or fell below the income threshold, and is not in itself a finding against anyone — but an appeal still quoting this number today is quoting a charity the Commission no longer registers.

What it does

Speakability (Action for Dysphasic Adults) is the national charity supporting people living with Aphasia (also known as Dysphasia) and their carers, by offering a Helpline, publications, training resources and a network of Aphasia Self-Help Groups across England, Scotland and Wales. The Charity also campaigns for better services and greater understanding of Aphasia as a communication disability.

About this record

From the Charity Commission's register of England and Wales, republished nightly under the Open Government Licence. The Commission does not regulate Scotland or Northern Ireland, which keep their own registers. Figures are as the charity last filed them, not as audited by us — browse the whole register, including the charities removed from it.
