THE BMA FOUNDATION FOR AIDS

This charity is no longer on the register, removed on 4 January 2017. A removal is usually a charity that wound up, merged, or fell below the income threshold, and is not in itself a finding against anyone — but an appeal still quoting this number today is quoting a charity the Commission no longer registers.

What it does

In 2012 a new charitable company MEDFASH was set up (charity 1148836) to continue the Medical Foundation for AIDS & Sexual Health's (working name) work in sexual health policy and practice. MedFASH is an independent charity dedicated to improving the quality of HIV and sexual healthcare, supporting and guiding health professionals / policy makers since 1987. BMA Foundation for AIDS is now dormant.

In the charity's own words, as filed with the Commission.

About this record

From the Charity Commission's register of England and Wales, republished nightly under the Open Government Licence. The Commission does not regulate Scotland or Northern Ireland, which keep their own registers. Figures are as the charity last filed them, not as audited by us — browse the whole register, including the charities removed from it.
