THE STREET LIBRARY
This charity is no longer on the register, removed on 30 January 2025. A removal is usually a charity that wound up, merged, or fell below the income threshold, and is not in itself a finding against anyone — but an appeal still quoting this number today is quoting a charity the Commission no longer registers.

What it does
The main buildings are leased to Somerset County Council to be used as a public Library. The northern garden area is open to the public and Street parish Council contributes towards its maintenance and insurance. The trust supports the library with books, magazines and helps towards the gardens and maintenance.
In the charity's own words, as filed with the Commission.
About this record
From the Charity Commission's register of England and Wales, republished nightly under the Open Government Licence. The Commission does not regulate Scotland or Northern Ireland, which keep their own registers. Figures are as the charity last filed them, not as audited by us — browse the whole register, including the charities removed from it.
