THE CATER MUSEUM

This charity is no longer on the register, removed on 14 May 2015. A removal is usually a charity that wound up, merged, or fell below the income threshold, and is not in itself a finding against anyone — but an appeal still quoting this number today is quoting a charity the Commission no longer registers.

What it does

The aim of the Museum is to provide a base for the collection and preservation of objects important to the appreciation and understanding of local history and to foster an interest within the community of Billericay's heritage. The Museum is open six afternoons a week and by appointment for groups and local schools and provides resource material and support for research and study.

In the charity's own words, as filed with the Commission.

About this record

From the Charity Commission's register of England and Wales, republished nightly under the Open Government Licence. The Commission does not regulate Scotland or Northern Ireland, which keep their own registers. Figures are as the charity last filed them, not as audited by us — browse the whole register, including the charities removed from it.
