TRENT AND MERSEY CANAL SOCIETY LIMITED

This charity is no longer on the register, removed on 5 September 2019. A removal is usually a charity that wound up, merged, or fell below the income threshold, and is not in itself a finding against anyone — but an appeal still quoting this number today is quoting a charity the Commission no longer registers.

What it does

To promote the well-being of the Trent & Mersey Canal and provide a focus for all who are interested in it; boaters, walkers, fishers, naturalists, businesses, farmers, residents and visitors alike. Members share a common purpose to help secure a sustainable future for our canal as a unique waterway landscape in which leisure tourism and the local economy can thrive in harmony with the environment

About this record

From the Charity Commission's register of England and Wales, republished nightly under the Open Government Licence. The Commission does not regulate Scotland or Northern Ireland, which keep their own registers. Figures are as the charity last filed them, not as audited by us — browse the whole register, including the charities removed from it.
