THE RANTHAMBHORE SOCIETY
This charity is no longer on the register, removed on 9 December 2013. A removal is usually a charity that wound up, merged, or fell below the income threshold, and is not in itself a finding against anyone — but an appeal still quoting this number today is quoting a charity the Commission no longer registers.

What it does
To protect and conserve the environment for the public benefit by seeking to maintain the essential ecological balance necessary for man to live in harmony with nature - in the Sawai Madhopur district of Rajasthan, and in rural and forest communities in other parts of India. In practice GTP acts as a conservation agency prioritising protection of the tiger in the field.
In the charity's own words, as filed with the Commission.
About this record
From the Charity Commission's register of England and Wales, republished nightly under the Open Government Licence. The Commission does not regulate Scotland or Northern Ireland, which keep their own registers. Figures are as the charity last filed them, not as audited by us — browse the whole register, including the charities removed from it.
