MONTE SAN MARTINO TRUST
This charity is no longer on the register, removed on 11 February 2008. A removal is usually a charity that wound up, merged, or fell below the income threshold, and is not in itself a finding against anyone — but an appeal still quoting this number today is quoting a charity the Commission no longer registers.

What it does
To raise funds to provide bursaries to Italian students to cover costs of residential English courses in the UK. These students are usually direct descendants of, or connected with, the very families who provided much needed food and shelter to Allied prisoners of war who had escaped from their prison camps after the Armistice was signed with the Allies in 1943.
In the charity's own words, as filed with the Commission.
About this record
From the Charity Commission's register of England and Wales, republished nightly under the Open Government Licence. The Commission does not regulate Scotland or Northern Ireland, which keep their own registers. Figures are as the charity last filed them, not as audited by us — browse the whole register, including the charities removed from it.
