THE ROBERT WHITESON MEMORIAL FUND

This charity is no longer on the register, removed on 17 October 2023. A removal is usually a charity that wound up, merged, or fell below the income threshold, and is not in itself a finding against anyone — but an appeal still quoting this number today is quoting a charity the Commission no longer registers.

What it does

Fund raising events on an annual basis include events such as garden parties, bridge luncheons, coffee mornings, sponsored running events and tennis tournaments. General donations from the public are also received. Net proceeds from events and investment income are now used for funding research at the Christie Hospital, Manchester into Hodgkins Disease, Leukaemia and other allied disorders.

In the charity's own words, as filed with the Commission.

About this record

From the Charity Commission's register of England and Wales, republished nightly under the Open Government Licence. The Commission does not regulate Scotland or Northern Ireland, which keep their own registers. Figures are as the charity last filed them, not as audited by us — browse the whole register, including the charities removed from it.
