THE MAYOR OF THE BOROUGH OF TORFAEN'S APPEAL FUND
This charity is no longer on the register, removed on 1 March 2019. A removal is usually a charity that wound up, merged, or fell below the income threshold, and is not in itself a finding against anyone — but an appeal still quoting this number today is quoting a charity the Commission no longer registers.

What it does
The Mayor of the Borough of Torfaen's Appeal Fund was established in 1981 and its purpose is to raise funds for, and awareness of, the work of local charities within the County Borough and sometimes more widely across Wales and the UK - including the Ty Hafan Children's Hospice, St David's Hospice, the Gwent Association for the Blind and local groups of Scouts, Cubs, Guides and Brownies.
In the charity's own words, as filed with the Commission.
About this record
From the Charity Commission's register of England and Wales, republished nightly under the Open Government Licence. The Commission does not regulate Scotland or Northern Ireland, which keep their own registers. Figures are as the charity last filed them, not as audited by us — browse the whole register, including the charities removed from it.
