THORNTON AND ALLERTON COMMUNITY ASSOCIATION
This charity is no longer on the register, removed on 30 March 2010. A removal is usually a charity that wound up, merged, or fell below the income threshold, and is not in itself a finding against anyone — but an appeal still quoting this number today is quoting a charity the Commission no longer registers.

What it does
During the financial year 2008/2009, the association held 2 musical/cultural entertainment evenings, a summer fair and hosted the Thornton Christmas lights switching on ceremony. These were in addition to the monthly programme of art exhibitions, art classes, creative writing plus the buildings (i.e. South Square) being used by Thornton Futures and fair trade groups.
In the charity's own words, as filed with the Commission.
About this record
From the Charity Commission's register of England and Wales, republished nightly under the Open Government Licence. The Commission does not regulate Scotland or Northern Ireland, which keep their own registers. Figures are as the charity last filed them, not as audited by us — browse the whole register, including the charities removed from it.
